Arrival

The Sailor’s Home Museum is located close to the city centre on the island of Pikisaari.

By foot

The easiest way to arrive at The Sailor’s Home Museum is by foot.

Three bridges lead to the island, two of which are designated only for pedestrians and cyclists. These two bridges lead to Pikisaari either from Toppilansaari or from the city centre, from between the city theatre and the main library. The third bridge connects to the island from Raatti.

If you are arriving from the train station, walk along Rautatienkatu street towards south, all the way up to Pakkahuoneenkatu street. Continue your way along Kaarlenväylä street until you arrive at the city theatre and the main library. Walk along the pedestrian and cycle path bridge ahead of you and you will arrive in Pikisaari.
